Christian A. Vedeler
Dr. Vedeler is a clinical neurologist and professor of neurology with
special interest in neuroimmunology. He is the chairman of the section
of neurology and department of clinical medicine at the University of
Bergen. He is also the leader of the neurology research laboratory.
Scientific Team
The group consists of Chr. Vedeler, MD PhD, 3 PhD students: Anette Storstein
MD, Sissel Monstad MSc and Anette Knudsen MSc; and Mette Haugen who
works as technician.
Research facilities
The research laboratory has modern equipment for immunological and genetic
research. Immunohistochemistry and immuno-dot blot techniques are used
for the routine detection of onconeural antiodies such as anti-Hu, Yo,
Ri, amphiphysin, CRMP5, Ma, Tr. We also test for anti-titin and MAG
using ELISA and anti-AChR and VGCC using RIA.
