Dr. Vedeler is a clinical neurologist and professor of neurology with special interest in neuroimmunology. He is the chairman of the section of neurology and department of clinical medicine at the University of Bergen. He is also the leader of the neurology research laboratory.

Scientific Team
The group consists of Chr. Vedeler, MD PhD, 3 PhD students: Anette Storstein MD, Sissel Monstad MSc and Anette Knudsen MSc; and Mette Haugen who works as technician.

Research facilities
The research laboratory has modern equipment for immunological and genetic research. Immunohistochemistry and immuno-dot blot techniques are used for the routine detection of onconeural antiodies such as anti-Hu, Yo, Ri, amphiphysin, CRMP5, Ma, Tr. We also test for anti-titin and MAG using ELISA and anti-AChR and VGCC using RIA.
