
Dr. Wolfgang Grisold is Prof of Neurology at the Department of Neurology, Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for NeuroOncology, Vienna, Austria. MD 1976, He attended pathology, internal medicine and psychiatry and entered neurology training in 1979. His clinical training in neurology ended in 1984. He then worked as a consultant for clinical neurology and also in clinical electrophysiology. From 1978 -1989 He worked in the LBI for Clinical Neurobiology (neuropathology, neuroimmunology). From 1989 he is the head of the department of Neurology at the Kaiser Franz Josef hospital in Vienna, since 1997 chair of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for NeuroOncology. His research is focused on paraneoplastic syndromes and neuromuscular syndromes.
