About Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndromes Group
In November, 2002, a international group of neurologists interested in the field of PNS established the PNS Euronetwork supported by a grant of the European Union. The aim is to assist neurologists in the diagnosis and classification of PNS by providing rigorous diagnostic criteria for the different PNS, to interchange information among the different centres, and to facilitate the pooling of patients for clinical trials.
Members meet twice a year and the initial tasks done in the last year include the design of a database for use by the participants in the project, the construction of the webpage and the elaboration of a consensus document on the diagnostic criteria of PNS.
PNS Euronetwork does not pretend to be a closed group but to open to all specialists interested in the field of PNS. Any person interested to become a member should send a formal request along with a short CV to the coordinator of the group Dr. Bruno Giometto ( bruno.giometto@unipd.it).
The members of PNS Euronetwork are: (in alphabetical order. Groups with several members: only the group’s leader is included. The other members are included in the scientific team of each group)
